Our Story
Betty's Bakery began when Betty herself stood at a flour-dusted counter in 1987 with nothing but a sourdough starter, a wooden spoon, and a stubborn belief that St Johns deserved better bread. That first batch of crusty boulangère still sets the standard.
Today, her children and grandchildren keep the ovens running before dawn. Every croissant is laminated by hand. Every batch of ciabatta gets its proper steam. And every customer who walks through our door on Cleveland Street is treated like family — because, in a town this size, that's exactly what we are.
